Last week a couple of photographer buddies asked me if I was free to come out and shoot at a Stand Up Paddle (SUP) race in Palm Beach. It sounded like an interesting change to what I am use to so we headed out at 7.30 after our morning caffeine hit. The sun was shining bright and upon arrival it was obvious that a fun and entertaining day was going to be had.
Once we arrived at Palmy, I realised I was in for something more special than just a regular race. A great bunch of like-minded people who were out to raise money for the Royal North Shore Intensive Care Unit and in memory of a man who died last year. It was obvious that this bunch love the outdoor lifestyle and I really enjoyed being able to be there to capture the day. The organizers, Kristen Wolthers and Peter Morgan, of Paddle for Pete put on a very respectable event and it was clear that everyone in attendance took pride in the remembrance of Peter Bilsborough.
Thx
